Hyperloop Competition IV
After spending the entire night debugging our state machine, the Software and Controls teams was almost in a place where
they felt confident showing the SpaceX Advisors when we encountered a problem with the air compressor we use to fill our
braking tanks. After spending some time fixing that, we then spent the rest of the day trying to get our state diagrams
approved, and in the end we simply ran out of time to have the SpaceX Advisors approve it. While this is disappointing,
we now know exactly what we need to fix in order to be successul next year. We were really hoping for the chance to prove our
pod is capable of running in an open air environment, but that will have to wait until next year. The team ended the day
with a team dinner and a trip to the beach in order to celebrate all of the success we’ve had over the past year.
Now, with competition day upon us, we’re excited to show off our achievements to everyone! We will be live tweeting all day, so keep an eye on our Twitter feed (or at the bottom of this update if you don’t have Twitter). We would also like to extend our congratulations to all of the other hyperloop teams for the incredible work you do!
Thank you to all of our friends, families, and supporters for all the encouragement you’ve given us this competition. We couldn’t do this without you.
On, Wisconsin, and now let’s go #breakapod!
